Call for Entries - Vatavaran 2005

The Indian Environment and Wildlife Film Festival - Vatavaran 2005 - has given a call for entries. The festival will be held between 21 – 24 November, 2005 at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The last date for submission is July 15, 2005.
CMS invites entries for eight categories of awards - Wildlife Natural History & Conservation, Environment, 2005 Festival Theme: Forests for Life, Animation, Public Service Message Spot, Environment Conscious Broadcaster, Student Film, Film Fellowships. Last date for submission is 15 July 2005. Vatavaran aims to encourage innovative attempts to explore nature and analyze topical environment issues through the visual medium, encouraging socially relevant films of aesthetic and technical excellence, contributing to greater understanding of the complex environmental issues and preservation of wildlife. Vatavaran Environment and Wildlife Film Festival was a pioneering effort in 2002 by Centre for Media Studies, a Delhi based not for profit organization. Vatavaran is the only biennial competitive festival of its kind in India with a Traveling film festival in the alternate year. The festival is supported by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. The third competitive film festival Vatavaran 2005 will showcase best of the Indian films, a Panorama of Asian films, Retrospectives of Masters, Film Bazaar, Open Forums, Screenings for Children, International Federation of Environment Journalists Congress and more.
